The Best Car Shows UK 2019
So, taking a look at peak season and beyond, we’re in for quite a treat this year. Some of the big wigs are pulling out all the stops for the bigger events, with smaller events offering up some entertaining niche gatherings all around the UK as well.
As of June, expect to find more outdoor events, with the larger events towards the colder end of the year, thankfully, being more enclosed.
A new entry into our annual classic motoring calendar, the Bicester meet offers plenty of fun in the sun for the entire family. And for die-hard petrol-heads, there’s the promise of some hardcore track action as well.
The Bicester Heritage team are still quite tight-lipped but expect all the details to be released shortly as we’re just a few days out from the event.

Goodwood Festival of Speed (FoS) goes down as the fastest, action-packed motoring event in the global calendar.

On the menu is a smorgasbord of high-octane F1 action, as well as two and four-wheel record breakers in contention for fastest machine on land. This year’s Citroen Centenary Celebration will be earmarked for celebration on location in France - the home of the historic Citroen brand.
This is one of the larger celebrations this year as Citroen are celebrating their centennial throughout the entire year. Hosted by legendary French clubs Amicale Citroen and DS France – expect all the pomp and ceremony like only the French can.
Heavy local and international club involvement, as well as manufacturer-backed marque activities scheduled, this is definitely one not to be missed if you’re keen to head out for a classic car excursion on your French summer holiday.
When: 19-21 July, 2019
Where: La Ferte-Vidame, Eure-et-Loir, France
While bearing an unfortunate title, this one is quickly climbing up the ranks of car shows that are quickly garnering a heightened fan-following.
The Hagerty-organised event boasts a line-up of who’s-who of classic car collections that are more nondescript, hard-to-find or, as the name suggests, just not that exceptional. That’s not to say you won’t have a great time taking in the event, quite the contrary actually. Without the attention-grabbing spotlight models, the “unexceptional” are given more space to shine, and honestly who doesn’t love to see the old classics of yesteryear make a revived appearance.
When: 20 July, 2019
Where: Claydon Estate, Buckinghamshire, UK
Whether you’re a newly converted classic car fan, or a die-hard aficionado, anybody and everybody recognises the name Silverstone Classic. Not only home to the British Grand Prix, Silverstone is recognised as one of the country’s most beloved events, hands down.

Silverstone is generally the one event that’s home to concept car exhibits, first-ever unveilings and the largest gathering of the biggest names in motorsport history.
With enough entertainment for all – shopping, fun fares, circus marques and more – this one’s definitely the event that caters for the entire family.
When: 26 – 28 July, 2019

The International Mini Meeting (IMM) 2019 will be the first ever South-West IMM. This year is the Mini’s 60th anniversary so expect IMM 2019 to go all out. As a historic motoring event celebrating one of the UK’s best motoring exports, this is another one not to be missed.
On the agenda is the biggest collection of MINI models throughout the classic’s historic run, and a spotlight on the newly-released, special edition Mini 60 … there’s also promise of a big Mini birthday bash, and everyone’s invited. Motoring Classics will be in attendance and sponsorship for the event, so come and say “Hi” and meet some of our team.

It’s third of a five-year residency at Hampton Court Palace, this concours' name says it all. Anyone that’s anyone and has an eye for luxury, priceless classics knows and will be in attendance at Concours of Elegance, that’s for certain.

Another of the Goodwood events that needs no introduction is Goodwood Revival. Particular to classic motoring, Revival rivals Concours of Elegance in its collection of priceless classic cars. The biggest draw here though is getting to see these priceless beauties vie for top honours on the track in the form of the Kinrara Trophy.
Known as one of the most expensive races, last year’s Kinrara broke records as the most expensive historic race to ever take place. Think over £100 million worth of Ferraris, Jaguars and more ripping through the track – and you have some idea of the spirit of Goodwood Revival. Speaking of spirit, in the true spirit of revival and classics, the 1930’s themed event takes it’s moniker seriously with ‘30s-era fashion, fashion shows, dance contests, themed stores and retro fun fares abound.

Taking place at the Castle Combe in Wiltshire, this best-kept secret of an event is fast gaining notoriety amongst classic car fans.

With the weather sufficiently colder, it’s great to have an indoor event where you can still enjoy spectacular motoring excitement without having to brave the extreme winter climate.
The NEC Classic is a record-breaking event in more ways than one, the most important reasons though, is that it’s the single largest indoor classic car event in the UK and the biggest and best indoor classic car event in the world. For three days in November,
Birmingham’s NEC gets its halls filled with the most beautiful classic cars, dealers and celebrities.
Covering nearly a million square metres will be tough, especially as there’s a treat around every corner. Massive trade areas, live stages and club stands come to the fore for this enthralling event in the UK car calendar. Oh, and just to sweeten the pot … there’s rip-roaring exhibits from Autojumble and specialist traders hosted by the most popular motoring celebrities.
